Hi guys!
So after a full night’s rest, I woke up the next day refreshed, and ready to take on the next day with my friends.
We had breakfast at the hotel and then got ready to go to a boat party with a few new friends we met at the Kafe Pi Beach Club.
Since we were invited, we didn’t have to worry about getting a boat for ourselves, or visit any of the beach clubs on the Aya Yorgi bay, but I did some research and found out that there are a number of beach clubs there where you can sunbathe, dance and eat/drink. It’s also possible to rent a boat from 1,500TL on sahibinden.com depending on the size of your party, your taste and your budget.
Our hosts were lovely. They offered us food and drinks, and patiently took photos of and with us.

The Aya Yorgi pier is very secluded and it’s pretty impossible to get a taxi around there except you use the BiTaksi app for getting taxis in Turkey. It’ll be advisable to rent a car, or hire a driver. We didn’t know how difficult it was going to be, but we were fortunate to find a lovely local who gave us a ride back to our hotel while we were wandering around in search of a Taksi.

I learned to fish and on my very first attempt caught a fish. A small one, but I was excited nonetheless. It was a wonderful experience. I'd love to do it again.
We left early as we were exhausted from the partying, and then we went to dinner by the pier.
We initially searched nearby restaurants on google maps, and found Dante by Sariket, but when we alighted the taxi, we found a street with different restaurants so we walked around to find one we liked. We didn’t find Dante by Sariket and ended up eating at Nevi Cafe Bar Restoran - one of the many on the pier.
The ambience was very lovely, with all the gorgeous lights, but in true Turkish cafe fashion, there was a stray dog walking around, so if you don’t like animals this may not be for you. It’s a cultural thing tho, and the dogs are very well take care of, vaccinated, and do not bite or bother you. They’re kept around to beautify the place, and are safe to feed and play with.
I went with the waiter’s recommendation and ordered something with a Turkish Name I couldn’t recognize. It was basically meat in a brown thick sauce, topped with mashed potatoes, and served on a bed of sautéed spinach and mushrooms.

I enjoyed it, but it got tiring pretty fast as the portion was super huge.
We spent a couple hours sitting and talking, and I took time to enjoy the view even though it was late at night.
We were there until well past midnight, and when we were ready to leave a kind man at the convenience store nearby helped us call a taxi as there was none around.
We retired to our rooms at Alaçatı Sörf, and our hosts were very lovely and helpful with our requests for tea even though it was late at night. After tea it was time for bed, as we had beach plans for the next day.
See next post for details on our trip to the lovely Beach of Momo.
Love, Yoma.
